Some people like to have easy access to their favorite pages or sites through “shortcuts” on the iPhone.   This also doubles as a location for Siri to actually be a useful resource for getting things done quicker.   It is good to know for the average user that the Shortcuts app by iPhone is way more useful than simply creating a shortcut on a desktop.   However, we will start there to get your feet wet.   Grab the URL of the page you want direct access to and make it a shortcut on your iPhone.   For this example, we reference a LinkedIn Group that I am a part of.  The URL remains the same except for the remaining digits after “groups” in the URL.    Find your groups URL unique identifier, find “shortcuts” on your iPhone, and follow the steps below.

Obviously, this doesn’t have to be used for LinkedIn.  We can create shortcuts for anything.  Go ahead and try creating something you use all the time but is not one tap away.

Select “Create shortcut” and “add action” followed searching for “Chrome”.  Yes, I know.  Sigh…  You have to use Chrome for Groups to load with one tap off your iPhone home screen.  Safari or the LinkedIn app do not have this type of functionality, yet.  Regrettably, these are the tedious steps to optimize your Linkedin newsfeed.  You’re almost there, one more step and you’re ready to go!!
