NameCheap Redirect & Forwarder Setup meanings get blurred from DNS provider to DNS provider. URL redirection in the www.namecheap.com world, is the same as URL Forwarding. It is a technique which is used to redirect your domain’s visitors (see examples above) to a different URL. You can forward your domain name to any website, webpage, etc. which is available online. For us, we took the domain we purchased from NameCheap called www.grabandgosandiego.org (with www and without it) and redirecting to https://charity.gofundme.com/lets-feed-san-diego There are different types of URL redirection. Feel free to check more details the NameCheap site resource link. For our purposes, what we did below is sufficient for most needs.
Per our check, there is a CNAME Record for the host www with the value parkingpage.namecheap.com.
We removed the default CNAME Record for the Host www and another URL Redirect record for the Host www with the value:

Please follow the below steps to add the URL Redirect for the domain:
– having logged into Namecheap account, go to your Domain List
– click ‘Manage’ next to the domain grabandgosandiego.org
– ‘Advanced DNS’ tab
– ‘Host Records’ section.
– Then click on ‘Add New Record’ and create the following record:
Type: URL Redirect | Host: www | Value: https://charity.gofundme.com/lets-feed-san-diego

– click on “Save All Changes”.
Domain
Select Domain, scroll down to “redirect domain”, choose domain name you just purchase as the source, and full URL to redirect. Do the same for www.
